Andy Csinger: The Face of Tidebound, Photographed at Home in Puglia

Some campaign castings are strategic. This one is personal. Andy Csinger, the face of our AW26 collection Tidebound, first wrote to us ten years ago, and this winter we photographed her wearing the collection in Puglia, the place she now calls home. Here is her story, and ours.

Who Is Andy Csinger?

Andy Csinger is a Slovak-born fashion creator known to her 845,000 Instagram followers as @andicsinger, now based in Ostuni in Puglia, southern Italy, where she is restoring a villa. Her style philosophy is right there in her bio: keeping things simple. She built her following on minimal, honest fashion content, the kind of dressing that works in real life, and she shoots her own imagery.

Her path was not the usual one. Andy grew up in Slovakia and moved to Australia around a decade ago. She has been open about her early years there: she worked as a cleaner while building her creative life on Instagram in the hours around it, and within six years had become one of Australia's most recognisable independent fashion voices. No agency machine, no shortcut. Just a woman who kept showing up in clothes she actually liked, photographed honestly.

If that sounds like the kind of woman we make clothes for, that is not a coincidence.

How Did Andy and Bohemian Traders Meet?

She found us. Ten years ago, newly arrived in Australia, Andy reached out to Bohemian Traders about the clothes. She has worn the brand ever since, through the Bondi years, through the growth of her following, through the move to Italy. Somewhere in that decade she stopped being a customer and became a friend of the house, and of our founder Emily Berlach personally.

So when we began planning the Tidebound campaign, there was no casting conversation. There was one name.

“I wrote to them ten years ago because I loved the clothes. I never really stopped wearing them, so when Em asked, it didn't feel like a campaign. It felt like something we'd been building toward the whole time.” — Andy Csinger

Why Is Andy the Face of Tidebound?

Tidebound is built around a simple line: chart your own course. We did not choose Andy because of her following. We chose her because she is already living the thing we make clothes for. A woman who arrived with little, built a creative life on her own terms, and is now, quite literally, restoring her own corner of the world with her own hands.

She is not positioned above our customer. She is a mirror of her. The woman who wears Bohemian Traders, in any of our sizes from 6 to 22, is building something of her own too: a business, a family, a garden, a second act. Andy just happens to do it on camera.

Where Was the Tidebound Campaign Shot?

In Puglia, Andy's home region, across an intense 48 hours. The southern Italian coast gave the collection exactly the world it was designed from: stone, salt, harbours, and that particular light that makes winter linen look like it was always meant to be there. Shooting Andy at home, rather than flying her somewhere styled to look authentic, is the difference you can feel in the imagery.

“Usually a shoot means becoming someone else for two days. This one was just my life, in clothes I'd wear anyway. I think you can see that in the pictures, which I took at home.” — Andy Csinger

What Does Andy Wear in the Campaign?

Andy wears five looks from Tidebound across the campaign, and her signature piece is the Sunray Maxi Dress in citrus: a flash of colour for a woman with no intention of dressing for the occasion. Around it, the collection's rich winter neutrals, muted heritage checks and hand-drawn sailboat prints, in soft winter linens and cottons, photographed in movement rather than posed. Every look she wears is available in sizes 6 to 22, in the same fabrics, at the same time.
