Prudence Oversized Kaftan in Cream

Some dresses are a canvas. This one begins with an original artwork by Prudence De Marchi, translated into a custom placement print so the botanicals climb from the hem and settle exactly where they should. No repeat. Nothing accidental.

The shape is generous and unhurried. A midi kaftan cut in a mid-weight cotton linen blend, relaxed through the body, with long voluminous sleeves gathered into elasticated cuffs. A low V neckline softened by a small round collar. A contrast placket runs the full length, opening at both the centre front neck and the hem, so the dress moves as you do. Side seam pockets, because they matter.

Thrown on over swimwear in January. Layered over a fine knit with boots by June. It asks very little of you and gives a great deal back.
